Email Alert Info
How come a page on the shul website is not loading properly?
This can happen for any number of
reasons. The most common reasons are browser being
used (eg. Internet Explorer), version of browser,
browser add-ons (eg. JavaScript, Adobe Flash Player),
version of browser add-ons, internet connection (eg.
56K, DSL, Cable, etc.), and amount of RAM available on
the computer.
The QJC website
has been tested on Internet Explorer (version 7+),
Mozilla Firefox (version 3.6+) and Google Chrome
(version 8+). If you are using a different browser
(eg. Netscape, Opera, Safari, etc.), you may experience
some viewing issues as these browsers have not been
tested. Each internet browser decodes HTML (the
language most website, including MyQJC.org, uses to
transmit information) slightly differently and therefore
any of the non-tested browsers may not load properly.
If the QJC website
is not loading properly, the first thing to do would be
to go to the "Tools" menu of the browser and select
"Check for updates" and then download/install the latest
update. This should not cause harm to your
computer and in fact, it probably would improve your
viewing experience in the browser that you are using.
In addition if you do not have the current version of
browser add-ons (or no add- ons at all), such as
JavaScript and Adobe Flash Player, parts of the page
might not load properly as the QJC website is using
advanced HTML. These add-ons will not cause harm
or, take up significant space on your computer and will
allow you to have a more complete internet experience as
the majority of the website on the internet use some
version of these softwares.
If you have any
questions, you can send an email to
webmaster@MyQJC.org.
| Top of Page
I
noticed an error on the QJC website. How can I bring
this to someone's attention?
You can send an email to
webmaster@MyQJC.org.
Please include the page where the error is located and give a
description of the error. We will look into the issue and
will give you an update when the error has been rectified.
| Top of Page
How can I
make a suggestion regarding content
on the QJC website?
The
QJC website can only improve when suggestions are made. If you have any
suggestions regarding MyQJC.org, please send an email to
webmaster@MyQJC.org.
| Top of Page
Can I
find other members of the Shul through the
website?
Not yet. It is something that we are
considering. We have the technology and the
information but are still discussing the privacy
aspect. Please stay tuned.

How
come I did not receive the shul email this past week?
I joined the shul's email list but I am
not receiving my email?
Sometimes IT administrators at corporations, banks &
law firms over aggressively filter your email. Make sure your
filters are set to accept email from
any @MyQJC.org email address.
Additionally, if you use a AOL or Yahoo email
account, those mail providers also aggressively filter graphical
email. So your email from the shul which contains graphics may
end up in the junk folder. We suggest you check your settings to
ensure that emails from @MyQJC.org are added to your safe or whitelist of senders.
If you have already received email and stopped
receiving email all of a sudden, check your junk folders as many
email providers frequently update their junk settings.
Our suggestion based on delivery of our email to
date is to use
aol.com,
gmail.com,
hotmail.com and
yahoo.com
as your email address for QJC email. You can also easily
forward mail from your personal email (via your settings) to your
preferred email (i.e. your work account).
If you have any
questions, you can send an email to
webmaster@MyQJC.org.

How
come I do not receive Shiva/Funeral information?
Shiva/Funeral information is sent to those who are on
the QJC Membership e-mail list only.

How do I update or change my
information for the shul's email list? Is there a password I
need?
Send an email to
QJCEmailAlert@MyQJC.org and indicate what change you would
like to make. There is no password required. We just
ask that you send the email request from the email
address on record so that the change can be made quickly
and securely.
